THE KINGSTON TRIO PLACE

KINGSTON TRIO SUPPORT PAGE

Many fans have expressed a desire to help bring the Kingston Trio the recognition they deserve. As a musical entity, The Kingston Trio not only have, thus far, left a treasure-trove of fine music but have been a major influence on folk, rock and pop music these last forty years. To fans, The Kingston Trio's songs and images have always been with them but, for many people, younger folks especially, the band's offerings remain obscure or unknown.

Organizations identified by visitors to The Kingston Trio Place as possibly being receptive to considering and highlighting The Kingston Trio's music and career would be: The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, The Arts And Entertainment Network (A&E), and CBS Sunday Morning. If we could generate enough support, on behalf of the Kingston Trio, perhaps, one or all of these organizations would realize the rightness of selecting The Kingston Trio as the recipient of an award or the subject of a biography or documentary, and thus, help create and spread recognition for this venerable band and their music.

Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame

Per Kelley: I read with interest the note(s) about The Kingston Trio being inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame in George's guestbook, and since this is a subject we've discussed over the years with input from Steve Preston, I looked up their web site http://www.rockhall.com

An artist is eligible 25 years after their first recording was released. The Kingston Trio certainly meets that requirement! So, if everyone is really serious about seeing The Kingston Trio inducted in their lifetimes, put pen to paper! After all, a letter writing campaign saved "Star Trek"!

Anybody with me?
